The research will assess the potential for hydrogen refuelling infrastructures within London. It will first analyse briefly the existing key refuelling nodes and pathways, using these data to outline the development of a potential hydrogen refuelling network. An existing database of hydrogen technologies N be updated and refined and this will be used in a technical model of refuelling station hardware and configurations. The model will be used to assess performance and identify areas for further technical research. A parallel model will be developed to assess the costs and economics of the refuelling station and of the infrastructure development, with the capacity to model cost reduction through learning-by-doing and mass-manufacture. In addition, a asessment of the emissions implications of the infrastructure will be carried out, using modifications to existing models. Resource availability for- hydrogen production within London will be briefly assessed. - --- An assessment will also be made of the safety and pubNe-aeeefftabitity of such an infrastructure, using established survey techniques-Ongoingconsultation with stakeholders will inform the research, and a programme of dissemination will ensure widesread availability of the results. The output vbe an increased understanding of issues related to hydrogen infrastructures, to inform decision making on technical development, funding and policymaking.
