Summary on Grant Application Form
This proposal sets out advanced applications for self-tracking, retro-directive, arrays for the creation of agile RCS surfaces. We propose to investigate a number of entirely new concepts by which RCS of objects can be manipulated, namely:* Passive printed planar retrodirective absorber panels.*Photoconductive RCS and polarisation control* Active retrodirective cloaking/uncloacking and polarisation adaption using 1.analogue phase conjugate circuit control2. digital phase conjugate circuit controlThe concept of uisng active and passive retrodirective antenna techniques for the creation of surfaces which exhibit reconfigurable radar cross section (RCS) properties has never been reported and is novel.
