Summary on Grant Application Form |
We will consider classes of IFS which arise as models in communication theory. Our approach will deal with the effect of nonlinearity and dimension of the classical (Bernoulli convolutions) model. The inverse map of the classical case also has interesting properties which we hope to characterise, concentrating on the relationship between the slope and the size of the gap of these maps. We hope that some of the results obtained will lead us to interesting new design features for channel responses.
