Summary on Grant Application Form |
Members of the Theoretical and Computational Physics Research Division at Queen's University Belfast will utilize the 32-node cluster to develop parallel computer codes to improve and extend their computational studies in the field of theoretical atomic, molecular and optical physics. The topics to be studied are: Ion-atom collisions; Wannier threshold phenomena; Ferrmagnetic relaxation times; Photoioriization; Photodetachment; Free-free processes; Oscillator strengths and transition probabilities; Antimatter collisions; Ion-ion collisions; Electron-impact ionizatjon; Electron-impact excitation at intermediate energies; Rydberg atoms in crossed fields; Positronium and positron scattering by atoms.
