Summary on Grant Application Form
The Cranfield Innovative Manufacturing Research Centre aims to be internationally leading by following a programme of research to underpin the competitiveness of selected major industries and to enhance the postgraduate training and education of next generation manufacturing specialists. Five major research areas have been identified and the programme will aim at their further development and integration. A manufacturing scenario for 2006 will be formulated and continuously updated and the ultimate research objective is for the integrated research programme to support this scenario. The work will be considerably enriched by cross-sector learning and by national and international collaborations and focused by the direct participation of industry.
