Summary on Grant Application Form |
Abstract of proposed research (not exceeding 100 words) The two-photon excitation of porphyrin and phthalocyanine sensitisers for photodynamic therapy will be studied in aqueous solution initially, then in tissue culture V79-4 and K562 animal cells. Fluorescence imaging in animal cells and tissue sections will be performed using a two-photon time-resolved fluorescence imaging microscope recently completed under the terms of EPSRC Grant GR/M 5100.
