Summary on Grant Application Form |
Novel materials based on organically modified mesoporous activated carbons will be prepared. Organic modification by two different methods will be used to superimpose functionality on hydrophobic macro-environment. This mosaic distribution of hydrophillic and hydrophobic sites will provide unique materials behaviour of value in applications including catalysis and trapping.
