Summary on Grant Application Form |
This grant is for support of the proposed workshop Numerical Methods for Nonlinear Dynamics & Bifurcations to be held iat the University of Bristol in the first week of July 2001. The total number of participants will be around 40 people, which ensures an informal atmosphere during the meeting. We anticipate that about 20 participants will come from the UK, 5 from the USA or Canada, and 15 from other European countries. There will be 10 main speakers, who will be invited, giving 30-minute talks presenting major new results in the computational development with respect to one or more of the workshop themes listed above. Additionally, there will be 15-minute contributed talks, typically by younger researchers. There will be no parallel sessions and talks will be scheduled so that there is ample time for discussion.
