Summary on Grant Application Form |
This platform grant will support innovative projects in nancharacterisation and nanofabrication in information storage, fundamental studies of low dimensional structures, implementation of quantum computing in the condensed state, studies of inorganic-organic interfaces and studies of materials failure at the nanoscale. The research involves the use of state of the art analytical high resolution electron microscopy and the preparation of samples with complex geometry. These techniques are developing rapidly, and novel approaches must be developed for their successful application to solving materials problems.
