The proposal seeks additional funding for the meeting Mathematical Challenges in Scientific and Engineering Computation to be held at Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences at Cambridge 20th-24th January, 2003, that will be used to widen UK participation in the meeting through providing :(a) support the participation of investigators on EPSRC/CEM funded projects and other academics (particularly engineers);(b) support the participation of younger academics working in computational mathematics;and (c) cover the costs of inviting two additional plenary speakers to the meeting
