Summary on Grant Application Form |
A leak detector is an essential piece of equipment in any laboratory housing vacuum or cryogenic equipment. At Leeds we have a significant amount of both. Our current leak detector is over twenty years old in a very poor state of repair. It is costly in both time and money to continually employ technical staff to keep it in a usable state. In this proposal we are requesting funding to replace this key piece of laboratory equipment with a new Spectron 5000S leak detector. This will enable us to continue our substantial EPSRC funded research programmes, both in-house and collaborative, which rely on this important piece of infrastructure.
