|
The Network of Excellence of textile departments in European universities and industry aims to develop the applications of high perfomance textiles mat with the overall purpose of improving the quality of life. The research will be conducted within the thematic area of Nanotechnologies and nanosciences knowledge-based multifunctional materials and new production processes and devices . It will enable the coordination of research activities in the develc of nanofibres for industrial uses such as filtration and biosensors in medical applications for monitoring health, particularly of people at risk. The network also coordinate the development of intelligent materials that respond to the surrounding environment
