Summary on Grant Application Form |
The aim is to continue a very fruitful collaboration on the properties of Frobenius homomorphisms. The basic theory is now almost in place so the main emphasis will be on applications. The Second Fundamental Theorem for the symmetric group acting on several copies of the fundamental representation. Development of an algorithm for deciding when a homogeneous form splits as the product of linear factors.Formulation of explicit equations for the symmetric product of algebraic curves and applications to the study of integrable systems. Finding applications of non-commutative versions of the theory of Frobenius homomorphisms.
