Summary on Grant Application Form |
Amongst the many implications of the rise of e-commerce is the ongoing problem of managing business to business (13213) connections. Increasingly, business managers and software designers will be concerned with assessing the effectiveness of 13213 connections, exploring the value of developing new connections, with disconnecting from existing partners and with designing sufficient flexibility into the business system. The proposed research addresses this problem domain. It is meta-systemic in character: its focus is upon the ongoing management of a network of business to business connections, rather than any single connection or set of connections. Within this meta-systemic focus, the aim is to establish a holistic method. This method will support the design, upkeep and cessation of business to business (13213) connections. The research will be based on architectural and process modelling results from previous and ongoing research carried out at Manchester and elsewhere.
