Summary on Grant Application Form |
In consultation with scientists in the Princeton area I intend to study and extend or initiate study of several aspects of the theoretical physics of (i) quantum spin glasses, including quantum phase transitions and metal-insulator-localization aspects for fermionic spin glasses, (ii) glassiness without imposed disorder, relationship of constrained dynamics to inherent state structure concepts, frustrated periodic antiferromagnets, (iii) complex cooperative behaviour in systems encapsulating key aspects of economics and biological evolutionary scenarios, (iv) random temperature magnets, increased rigour in pre-existing studies of complex systems.
