Summary on Grant Application Form |
This proposal is to provide funds for a research visit to the UK by Dr Cresser. Dr Cresser will be coming on sabbatical leave and the funds requested will (i) enable him to interact with members of the UK quantum optics community and (ii) provide some assistance with his local expenses. As an expert on quantum trajectories methods, he is uniquely qualified to undertake the proposed programme of research. The proposed research will make a connection between quantum trajectory methods and generalised measurement problems of the type studied in the quantum information community. The Strathclyde group has pioneered the study of these in optics and has performed some of the first experimental realisations.
