Summary on Grant Application Form
The project consists of two parts: Covariate-adjusted adaptive designs for comparing K>2 treatments with binary responses and Covariate-adjusted and designs for comparing K>2 treatments with survival responses . The aim is to extend the two-treatment designs of Rosenberger, Vidyashankar and agarwal (2001, J. Biopharm. Statist. 11, 227-236) and Rosenberger and Seshaiyer (1997, J. Biopharm. Statist. 7, 617-624). Delayed responses and staggered entry will be incorporated in both designs. The work will build on the general design for comparing K>2 treatments with continuous responses of Biswas and Coad (2002, Submitted to Biometrika). Designs of the type being studied are of direct relevance to pharmaceutical experimentation.
