|
The proposed research will involve the design and implementation of an ontology for numeric and symbolic mathematical problems. The ontology will be extended based on work undertaken in the European MONET project into mathematical Web services. The ontology will then be used to support service specification and registration of services using specialised brokers and matchmaking engines. The research focus of the project will be the exploration of criteria to support the matchmaking process, and in particular, how a variety of different criteria may be utilised in different contexts based on either user preferences, or service requirements identified through constraints.
