Summary on Grant Application Form
The research aims to develop, implement and apply stochastic models and associated statistical methods for data with a spatial and/or temporal structure. The focus will be on three specific themes within this general area: joint modelling of measurement and time-to-event data in longitudinal studies; integration of geostatistical and marked point process models and methods to take account of preferential spatial sampling designs; spatio-temporal modelling of complex epidemiological data. The proposed programme of work will combine methodological innovation with substantive applications. Inter-disciplinary collaboration with researchers in environmental, biomedical, public health and veterinary sciences will feature strongly.
