Summary on Grant Application Form
This work aims to explore the application of type II QW materials based on antimonides, lattice matched to InP-substrates, for high performance optoelectronic devices in the 1.2 - 1.6 micron optical communication window. The project aims to demonstrate the feasibility of this approach by working with the EPSRC central facility at Sheffield in support of their establishment of the materials capability, by providing high frequency optical performance characterisation of simple test structures. The work will provide an initial assessment of feasibility.
