Summary on Grant Application Form |
The Platform Grant will support the continuation of research in the field of Power Transmission and Motion Control. It will be used to provide bridging funding to support key post-doctoral researchers between grants. The areas to be covered include active control of vibration in rotating machines, dynamics of multi-body systems, fluid power systems, vehicle driveline modelling and control and novel sensors and actuators. Scoping studies will be undertaken to explore concepts arising from Biomimetics relating to motion control and the application of evolution theory to robotics, novel sensors and actuators, reconfigurability of machines, and next generation strategies for driveline control.
