Summary on Grant Application Form |
The First European Conference in Visual Media Production will bring together academic researchers with practitioners in the broadcast, post-production, film and games industries. This event will expose researchers to the state-of-the-art industry practice through a series of invited talks and tutorials by practitioners from the production and post-production industries. EPSRC support is requested to allow research students studying in areas related to visual media production to attend this event. Related research areas include mutimedia signal processing, image processing, computer vision and computer graphics. Bursaries will cover the cost of registration for the event. Providing support for research students to attend this event will widen participation in the event to expose young researchers to industry practice and problems which may be addressed in future research. The event will also provide an opportunity for researchers to foster new links with industry practitioners to strengthen future collaboration.
