Summary on Grant Application Form |
Sponsorship is sought to the value of 1800 to subsidise the High Frequency Postgraduate Colloquium to be held at UMIST, Manchester on 6th and 7th September 2004. Sponsorship at this level allows registration fees including an overnight stay, Colloquium Dinner and other meals and venue for around 100 per delegate. The colloquium offers a benign environment for postgraduates working in the electromagnetics, RF and microwave areas to present and discuss their work perhaps for the first time. Each delegate is also given a copy of the proceedings which are sponsored through the IEEE Book Broker agreement and possesses an ISBN number and is also distributed by the IEEE society. Through attending this colloquium the student will develop confidence in their work and improve presentation and networking skills. This colloquium has been sponsored by EPSRC before and has been held at a variety of UK and Irish Universities over the past nine years that it has run. Usually around 50- delegates attend from UK and Irish universities but more recently other European contributions have been made.
