Summary on Grant Application Form
This project will support five leading researchers in mechatronics and robotics in the UK to visit the key labs and research centres in Human Adaptive Mechatronics in Japan. The overall aim of the project is to promote research capacities through exchanging research expertise between the UK and Japanese academia in mechatronics and robotics. The proposed visits will support the initiation of collaborative research projects in mechatronics and robotics between leading scholars in the UK and Japan, allowing the latest research ideas and theories to be shared for the benefit of both countries. The visits will support the development of individual research programmes in a coherent manner to encourage the establishment of multidisciplinary research projects.
