Summary on Grant Application Form |
To obtain an understanding of the important factors and mechanisms involved in the diffusion bonding (DB) of duplex stainless steels by comparing the conditions required to produce a sound bond with those of predictive models of the bonding process. To examine the feasibility of producing relatively simple cellular structures by combining DB with superplastic forming (SPF).
