Summary on Grant Application Form |
Quantum modulation in scattering and tunnelling (QMIST), a recently discovered effect, will be investigated experimentally. This proposal is to produce characterised samples for the experiments which will involve frequencies between 1 and 4 THz. The work includes theoretical modelling, growth by molecular beam epitaxy, assessment by optical and transport measurements and fabrication into packaged sub-millimetre wave integrated devices.
