The main scientific aims of the programme are:i) a molecular dynamics simulation of a tilted C mesophaseii) a determination of the effects of anisotropy in the charge distribution and in the repulsive and dispersive contributions to the intermolecular potential upon the temperature dependence of the smectic C phaseiii) a preliminary investigation of the phase behaviour of a discotoc single site Gray-Berne fluid with central dipole.
