Summary on Grant Application Form |
The key aim is to investigate the problems of the large-signal modelling and design of mm-wave monolithic circuits such as mixers, oscillators, and power amplifiers. A 38 GHz communications transmitter-receiver demonstrator is being used as a focus for the modelling research. It will be used with an existing 16-QAM modem developed by the Communications Research Group at Kings College. The realisation of this demonstrator on the GMMT F40X commercial pHEMT process will enable us to extensively validate the large-signal models and design methods.
