Summary on Grant Application Form |
To determine (a) the optimum conditions for the superplastic forming of selected Ti alloys and mechanism(s) of deformation; (b) the factors and mechanisms involved in the diffusion bonding (DB) of the alloys by comparing conditions to produce a sound bond with those of predictive models of DB; (c) the feasibility of producing simple cellular shapes by combining DB and SPF.
