Summary on Grant Application Form |
The project, a collaboration between UCL, Thorn EMI and Barclays Bank, will develop standard distributed communications and object manipulation protocols compromising a Framework and Generic Applications Generator for HPC networks. The Framework, building on the Esprit III HANSA project, will utilise industry standards such as CORBA, OLE and DDE to allow network transparent application generation and execution across a heterogeneous network of machines, including PCs and Workstations.
