Summary on Grant Application Form |
The proposed programme will continue the development of piezomagnetic films, focusing on maintaining optimum response when the lateral dimensions are on the micron scale. In parallel with this the films will be integrated into simple microelectromechanical structures such as cantilevers. This will permit basic device evaluation. Integration into more complex structures (eg cantilevers) will allow assessment for non-contact self-test and actuation/read out. Overall there will be assessment for next generation sensor technology eg pressure sensors.
