Summary on Grant Application Form |
Three 18 storey blocks fo flats are to be demolished in Dundee, Scotland, by the explosives method. In this pilot programme a limited amount of instrumentation will be placed on the buildings in order to measure the times at which the collapse process reaches the instrumented zones; it is hoped to use these timings to elucidate the influence of various aspects of the rubble build-up on the collapse dynamics.
