Summary on Grant Application Form |
It is proposed that the EPSRC solid-state NMR service continue to be supported until 30 June 2000. A wide range of solid-state NMR experiments will be available on state-of-the-art instrumentation for members of the academic community. The technique is applicable to heterogeneous and homogeneous systems, including novel organic, inorganic and organometallic compounds, polymers (natural and synthetic), solid fuels, pharmaceuticals and excipients, composites, ceramics, liquid crystals and biologically based systems. The service will benefit researchers without access to their own instrumentation for this important structural characterisation technique. The service will raise awareness and familiarity with the technique to the benefit of researchers at other universities.
