Summary on Grant Application Form |
The fellowship will support a 10-day research symposium to take place in Durham in July 1999. About 70 mathematicians from UK and overseas will meet to discuss recent developments in the theory and applications of quantum groups. The main themes of the symposium will be: roots of unity and characteristic p; canonical bases; infinite-dimensional quantum groups; q-special functions; locally compact quantum groups; quantum groups as Hopf algebras.
