Summary on Grant Application Form
One of the goals of the Fellowship research is to obtain estimates for s-numbers of some embedding operators and apply it to spectral theory. (To investigate the behaviour of eigenvalues for Newmann and Dirichlet Boundary values problems). Due to the well known chairman-Schwinger principle this is closely related to the study of negative eigenvalues of the geregalized Schrodinger operator (-D) m + 2V, where V is potential and X is the coupling constant. Since the problems mentioned above are connected with major analytical difficulties, it may be useful to perform numerical calculations in some examples in order to show how our estimaties are sharp. More over these experiments should help to test some hypothesis especially connected with the determination of precise constants (for instance constants in the lieb-Thirring inequality).
