Summary on Grant Application Form |
This proposal is a concerned with Integrity of telecommunications networks and systems. Integrity concerns issues covering system; availability, robustness, reliability and security. The context for this study is the emerging broadband telecommunications systems. In this context the usage becomes very complex with an increase in the types of connections and the functionality of each connection. To support this , the sub systems (i.e. signalling, configuration, network and service management , end application) become increasingly inter-linked; and thus have to work together reliably and efficiently. Net work integrity depends on the behavioural and data processing qualities of the network support systems. Being able to understand the impact of one system on another even more so.The objective of this proposal is to develop behavioural models and metrics for studding the overall system integrity of these emerging inter-linked systems
