Summary on Grant Application Form
There are research groups in the UK working on communications between silicon and neural systems, on neuromorphic systems, and on low-level silicon implementations of neural systems. This network aims to bring these diverse groups together by holding a sequence of interdisciplinary meetings over 20 months. At these meetings new inter-group and interdisciplinary projects will be discussed, leading to 2 or 3 full-scale project proposals being generated. In addition, state-of-the-art reviews will be produced, enabling industrial and commercial organisations to evaluate these developing technologies.
