|
This application is supported by 35 scientific cases and letters of support which represents the high level of science intended. The cases cover topics ranging from the chemistry and dynamics of reactive molecules with relevance to atmospheric and astronomic chemistry, the structural and photophysical nature of bio-organic molecules, solvation chemistry, the fundamental spectroscopy of molecules and solid state materials, the chemical properties of surfaces and analytical chemistry using Raman techniques. The laser Loan Pool will be operated by the Lasers for Science Facility (LSF) based on RAL who will provide the professional backup to install and maintain the lasers and advice on their use. The allocation of lasers will be made by the usual peer review procedures.
