Summary on Grant Application Form |
This project is to design, to make, to develop and to optimize sub-micrometre collimators for use with synchrtotron X rays of dimensions suitable for the probing and characterisation of small structures (such as nanostructures), for X-ray analysis of small crystals and microcrystalline materials and for high-resolution X-ray lithography. They will also be used in conjuction with scanning devices to make microscopes operating under various modes (e.g EXAFS) with spatial resolutions in the sub-micrometre region.
