Summary on Grant Application Form |
This is a pilot study to investigate (and hopefully establish) the possibility of making a quantum logic gate using electron spins coupled through conduction electrons in a carbon nanotube. The objective is to design a quantum logic gate that will (a) be feasible to fabricate and (b) give adequate coherence time. The proposal is for further evaluation of the key aspects, with experimental testing of those that have not already been proved.
