Summary on Grant Application Form |
A novel preconditioning technique for linearised incompressible Navier-Stokes equations, developed in collaboration with Dr A.J. Wathen (Oxford University Computing Laboratory) and Professor H. C. Elman (University of Maryland), has enabled the possibility of building an incompressible flow simulation code using well tested multigrid iteration methods developed for scalar convection-diffusion problems. Discussions with Professor Turek would be very valuable at this point in time - he is uniquely experienced in the implementation aspects of multigrid techniques within the context of practical flow problems.
