Summary on Grant Application Form |
As a prime objective, the proposed training package aims at giving students/delegates a thorough grounding in a number of emerging technologies and their use in supporting enterprise-wide co-operative work and in developing integrated methods to facilitate co-operation in today's extended enterprise. The blend of modules proposed gives students the opportunity to develop an understanding of both technical and managerial issues involved in the development and successful deployment of advanced co-operative distributed information systems. A holistic approach is emphasised throughout. The jointly developed modules will be delivered within the context of Lifelong Learning, using a variety of resource-based learning, distance learning and electronic delivery methods. Companies may incorporate the modules into their own staff-development programmes. The modular structure, consistent with CATS, enables individual modules to be studied and gives students the 0 ortuni to take one of three exit points at Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma or Master of Science.
