Summary on Grant Application Form |
To investigate the scalability and robust coding/decoding to be applied to the problem of MPEG-4 compliant BIFS content transmission sensitive to noise and losses in order to guarantee a given quality of service. De-synchronisation problem and limiting the error proppagfation will be studied. To extend this work to 3D scene building where a scene is composited with a number of objects, normally a fixed 3D set and a number of moving avatars with talking heads animated from motion tracking in a studio. We expect to develop this theme further and evolve a collaborative research plan with a view of seeking support from existing sources (TEMICS and OMW) or apply to external funding.
