Summary on Grant Application Form |
This MTP aims to produce graduates with the fundamental knowledge to contribute to a wide variety of applications that require the use or development of reliable numerical methods and corresponding software. It provides training in numerical algorithms and modelling and in the techniques of using, maintaining and developing efficient, reliable numerical software. Students acquire fundamental knowledge of numerical computation as well as exeprtise in a particular application area. The training given includes the use of software packages and personal transferable skills. Graduates will be well suited to employment in, for example, industrial research groups, software houses, consultancy firms and financial instutitions.
