The R-matrix with pseudo states method will be used to extend electron impact calculations to intermediate energies and allow, for the first time, accurate, ab initio treatment of near threshold electron impact ionisation of molecular systems. Particular focus will be on water for which electron impact dissociation studies including multidimensional nuclear motion will be considered.There is great demand for the results of our calculations not only from scientists performing parallel laboratory studies but also those modelling etching and fusion plasmas, astronomical spectra and processes, planetary atmospheres, electron impact with molecules on surfaces, dynamics of molecular Rydberg states, dissociative recombination etc. Studies on electron collisions with water are particularly important for studies of radiation damage in living organisms. Molecular R-Matrix code is used by several groups in Japan and USA. Significant developments to higher energy regimes will be in demand internationally.
