Summary on Grant Application Form |
To investigate how to obtain sharp nonlinear stability thresholds in convection problems when the boundary conditions allow throughflow of fluid. The emphasis is on obtaining unconditional nonlinear stability results, i.e. for all initial data, and ensuring these are meaningful when compared to linear instability theory.
