Summary on Grant Application Form |
This proposal, by members of the Optical and Semiconductor Devices Group (OSDG) at Imperial College London, is for a 4-year Platform Grant in Three-Dimensional Electrical MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical systems). The purpose is to unify, extend and broaden existing work in the OSDG around this theme, making Imperial a recognised international centre for this activity. The program will include process development, component development, and application in areas ranging from mobile communications to medical instrumentation and to new microstructured RF materials. The activity will involve a significant program of exchange with leading academic and industrial groups in the U.S.
