Summary on Grant Application Form |
Describe the proposed research using (about 200) words geared to the non-specialist reader. The overall aim of the ASTRENET network is to develop a self-sustaining (after three years) international research community, centred around and led by the UK, working on applications of source code analysis, slicing and transformation.Currently the producer community and the potential applications and user communities are disjointed. The producers of analysis, slicing and transformation algorithms and tools tend to work in isolation from both the academic and industrial user communities. The ASTRENET network will bring together these two communities, leading to new research collaborations between the two communities.
