Summary on Grant Application Form |
This proposal is for equipment whcih would allow the UCL-CS expertise in networks and multimedia to benefit the new research activities in Vision and Virtual Reality. It would also allow the VR work to tackle problems of several thousand polygons at realistic frame rates-where they are currently limited to a few hundred polygons. It would allow the vision projects to store and retrieve very large amounts of data for their applications and to develop real-time systems.Key Words: Multimedia, Virtual Reality, Networks and Vision
